Choose green with your Ethernet.
You can now choose green when upgrading to a gigabit network! This new generation TL-SG1008D 8-port Gigabit desktop switch features the latest innovative energy-efficient technologies that can greatly enhance your network capacity with less power. It automatically adjusts power consumption based on link status and cable length to reduce your network's carbon footprint.
No power to unused ports
When a computer or network equipment is turned off, the corresponding port of a traditional switch continues to consume significant amounts of power. The TL-SG1008D can automatically detect the link status of each port and reduce the power consumption of unused ports, resulting in a max. 80% reduction in power consumption.
Power budget depending on cable length
Normally, shorter cables consume less power due to lower power loss along the length of the cable; this is not the case with most devices.
Easy to use
The automatic features of this gigabit switch make installation plug-and-play and hassle-free. Configuration is not required. Auto MDI/MDIX makes using crossover cables unnecessary. Auto-negotiation on each port detects the link speed of a network device (10, 100, or 1000 Mbps) and intelligently adjusts for compatibility and optimal performance.
* Maximum power savings compared to conventional TP LINK switches; actual savings may vary depending on usage conditions.
